LOCATION

We are based at Cowm Reservoir, off Tong Lane in Whitworth. This is just outside Rochdale in south Lancashire - just 15 miles from Manchester and close to the motorway network. The nearest train station is Rochdale, approximately three miles away in a taxi.

Directions from the M62

  • Leave the M62 at Junction 20 and head for Rochdale on the A627(M)
  • At the first set of traffic lights, filter left onto the A664 (signposted Rochdale town centre)
  • At the first roundabout, take the third exit onto the A58 (still signposted town centre)
  • At the next roundabout turn left onto the A671 (Whitworth Road)
  • After approximately three miles you will see a Co-Op Late Shop sign on the right
  • Whitworth Water Ski and Recreation Centre is signposted left down Tong Lane opposite the Late Shop
  • Follow Tong Lane to the crossroads going straight over onto Tong End, past the Cock and Magpie pub, up the hill to the reservoir and Centre.
